Software Release Engineer - Superb working env & benefits
Software Release Engineer with a good working knowledge of PC operating systems required for leading software company in Oxfordshire. You must have an in-depth knowledge of at least one of the following: Windows NT*2000*XP, Macintosh, Unix*Linux, and experience of working with compilers (Visual Studio, GCC, CodeWarrior) and source control systems (StarTeam, SourceSafe). Ideally you will also have hands on hardware skills*PC trouble shooting, and experience of script writing to automate procedures. The main responsibility of the position are building, preparation, and release of software distributions, working closely with the development teams to deliver services to agreed timeframes, using secure procedures for the preparation and clean compilation of release code. Accuracy and an eye for detail are imperative, and you should be a responsible and reliable team player.
